Dr. Mefford received his liberal arts degree from Georgetown College in Georgetown, KY. Upon graduation he obtained his degree in dentistry from the University of Kentucky College of Dentistry graduating with high distinction. While at the University of Kentucky Dr. Mefford was awarded the International College of Dentists Outstanding Achievement and Leadership Award. He was also selected to be a member of the Omicron Kappa Upsilon Dental Honorary Society.

Dr. Mefford has made a pledge to maintain a high level of excellence in cosmetic and general dentistry. He has attended and will continue to attend nationally recognized courses to maintain a high level of quality and to keep up with the ever-changing world of dentistry. Furthermore Dr. Mefford is a member of the American Dental Association, the Kentucky Dental Association, Bluegrass Dental Society, the Tennessee Dental Association and Memphis Dental Society.
